Our Story

We met during our junior year at South Dakota State University in a videography class. What started as casual teamwork in class took a turn when Dylan suggested carpooling to a group interview at an advertising agency in Sioux Falls. I thought it was just a practical idea, but Dylan had other plans in mind.

As summer break began a few months later, our hometowns took us in different directions but we stayed connected through daily phone calls. When we returned to Brookings for our senior year, we knew we wanted to take the next step. On a warm August evening, we went on our first official date, a walk through the campus gardens, and the rest is history.

After graduation, we navigated a year of long-distance—Dylan in Rapid City and I in Minneapolis—while building our careers. Despite the miles between us, our bond only grew stronger. In April 2024, Dylan proposed during a hike in Spearfish Canyon, and I said yes!
